    Allow Renaming Favorites

Several years ago I posted a suggestion for a feature which has never been implemented but the lack of it is a daily inconvenience to me. I'm speaking of the ability to rename folders in Favorites. At any given time I'm likely to want to have the images folders for a dozen websites to be in my Favorites. But if I add them what I get is a dozen identical-looking images folders with no way to tell them apart.

Similar problems exist with other folders which may be deep in a folder hierarchy. Without the context of higher level folders it's impossible to tell which folder a given favorite refers to.

These problems could be solved with a trivially simple enhancement—the ability to rename items in the Favorites.

I've submitted this request for each version of Bridge since it was first introduced. Yes it should be trivial, and I'm beginning to wonder if anyone at Adobe even reads these requests.

Perhaps this needs to be diagrammed! I have multiple folders of multiple web sites; each site has a sub-folder called "images":

          | Client A's site

          |    |

          |    --images

          |

          | Client B's site

          |    |

          |    --images

          |

          | Client C's site

          |    |

          |    --images

When I place these "images" folders in the Favorites list, my Favorites list looks like this:

          Desktop

          cat pics

          images

          images

          images

          Hello???
