    BlazeDS message error

    sergei_developer Level 1

      I get message error when I used remoteobject .  I define it in remote-config.xml :

      <destination id="myUtils" >
           <properties>
              <source>com.mtsys.utils.HTTPUtils</source>
              <scope>session</scope>
           </properties>
          </destination>

      but "destination 'myUtils' " doesn't exist.

          Sergei,

                    Based on what you posted it is very difficult to help you troubleshoot this one. I will shoot in the dark here:

          • be sure to check that the services-config.xml is properly configured so you Flex/Air app will be able to reach the endpoint
          • If you are using AIR remember that app is not ran in the context of your BlazeDS/Tomcat but in a desktop so a special config is needed to setup remoting. (you can google that one)
          • make sure you have at least one default channel.

          As i said, it is very hard with no context, maybe if you post more info on your problem we could be of help

          Greetings

          Alex

            Hi, Alex!

            I has left service-config as default . And for remoting-config as:

            <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
            <service id="remoting-service"
                class="flex.messaging.services.RemotingService">

                <adapters>
                    <adapter-definition id="java-object" class="flex.messaging.services.remoting.adapters.JavaAdapter" default="true"/>
                </adapters>

                <default-channels>
                    <channel ref="my-amf"/>
                </default-channels>

                <destination id="helloWorld" >
                 <properties>
                    <source>example.HelloWorld</source>
                    <scope>session</scope>
                 </properties>
                </destination>

            </service>

            And don't work for :

            <service id="remoting-service"
                class="flex.messaging.services.RemotingService">

                <adapters>
                    <adapter-definition id="java-object" class="flex.messaging.services.remoting.adapters.JavaAdapter" default="true"/>
                </adapters>

                <default-channels>
                     <channel ref="my-amf"/>
                 </default-channels>

               <destination id="myUtils" >
                 <properties>
                    <source>com.mtsys.utils.HTTPUtils</source>
                    <scope>session</scope>
                 </properties>
                </destination>

            </service>

                  Sergei, Im happy to hear you sorted that one out. I use BlazeDS all the time and it is a wonderful tool, but there are a lot of not so obvious tricks to take advantage of the tool. Whenever in doubt also check out LiveCycle docs, as it is BlazeDS granddaddy.

                  Cheers

                    Alex, I use BlazeDS near two month and had to fix too many details to use it (like blazeDS and JBoss). I'll check out LiveCycle docs. It was strongly recomended to use next frameworks:

                    http://puremvc.org/

                    http://mate.asfusion.com/

                    http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/cairngorm/Cairngorm

                    May be you are using it or will use
