What do you mean that the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility "did not work for me" - did it remove it, or did you get an error message?
i was reading a post an it was saying to download windows cleanup or someting like that so i did run the cleanup wizard an i am still having the same message. For now i am using foxit reader and evry thing is ok but still cant uninstall adobe reader.

I don't know what 'cleanup wizard' is...?
The download is 'Windows Installer Cleanup Utility' (I gave you the link earlier);
once installed, you run it as 'Windows Installer Clean Up', then select Adobe Reader and click 'Remove'. This will remove Adobe Reader from your system, and from Add/Remove Programs.

I runed it then i restarted my computer then i tried to remove adobe reader with add remove programs in the control panel but still cant uninstallit

i am having similar problem (using Vista) - is driving me mad! everytime i try to open a pdf, get message saying adobe isn't working properly and closes. Have tried adjusting DEP setting but this isn't allowed with Adobe. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same issue arises - does anyone know what i can do?
Hi again i just wanted to say a real big thank you to you for helping me with my issue with adobe reader 9.1.3.
The windows installer clean up you have gave me worked its now gone from add/remove programs but i will still use foxit it s doing the job for now.
