High ISO noise and default values

With the new profiles I think Lightroom gives a excellent starting point with default development values. I think LR are just as good as NX for my Nikon D300.

One area where Lightroom could benefit a lot from improvements are for high ISO pictures. In NX you get default values that gives a good starting point for further editing. LR doesn't out of the box adjust default values for higher ISO values. You can save presets for every ISO value but this is not easy and why should every user start from scratch?

I understand from other experts that the noise algorithme also could be improved. From the discussions in different forums it seems that Lightrooms bad reputation in this area is partly the user interface and partly the need for improvement in the algorithme.
