I don't think you can start interacting with components until after the first #prepareFrame event. It's safer to wait a full frame cycle:

It works for me in D11.5 - I can't test in D11 since 11.5 overwrote it. Perhaps it's an 11-only bug?
it is only directors version proble, after installing 11.5 it'll work.
