    Auto caption defaults

I'm wondering if it is possible to change the default phrasing used in auto captions. For example, auto caption will write "Click the OK button" but it is our style to write "Click OK". Rather than having to go around and replace all of them, can I tell auto caption to use "Click <button name>" somehow? Maybe it's in an XML file somewhere?

          Hi Andy

Sure thing. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following location:
          C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 3

Once you are there, you should see some files named like this:
          CaptureTextTemplates_English.rdl

Open the one for the language you want and use Notepad or an equivalent for the editor. Note that it may be good to make a backup before modifying these. Just in case.

Once you make the changes, the next time you record the captions should say what you want.

          Cheers... Rick
