I have a Flex/Java Application and I have to load some tables with some information from the server.
The problem I have is I get a lot of information from the server, so I have to wait almost 1 minute for the load() operation. When I start the operation I see the clock running (blocking the pointer of the mouse) but some seconds later the pointer appears again (and the clock dissapears) but the operation (load()) has not finished yet.
My question is.... How can i keep the clock running (and block the pointer) during the whole load() operation? How can i calculate the necessary time for this operation?
You can use cursorManager.setBusyCursor() and cursorManager.removeBusyCursor() respectively when you call your backend DAO class method and when you retrieve result in your ResultHandler function of this CALL.
Similarly you can get time of start and end and hence calculate time taken.
