I'm hoping for a little help from fellow Robohelp / macro Express users.
in Robohelp (7) I have a character style that is used for fields and terms - it is a complete pain applying it manually so I have been trying to create a macro using the 'capture macro' feature in Macro Express (thus far only used for straightforward text insertions).
I started with a single word selected, then went through the process of applying the style; I've tried it using the 'format' menu and also using the drop-down list of styles, but can't make it work either way. The most I achieve is a macro that opens the styles window when triggered, so I then have to expand the list of character styles and apply it.
Can anyone help?
Shouldn't your avatar be one of you in your pyjamas!
I suspect you are setting up the macro by using mouse clicks. I found that with styles, it all works a lot better if you use the keyboard to select the styles. Maybe you can use the mouse to open the dialog but then you have to put in lots of up arrows so that no matter where you last selected style is in the list, the up arrows will first take you to the top of the list, then you put in the requisite number of down arrows to get to the required style.
If you later add more styles to the CSS, you might need to amend the macro.

Thanks Peter, that's done the trick
