    Animating backgroundColor

    marque_cam

      Hi all, I'm looking for a way to animate the backgroundColor of an AIR application using AS3.

      I'm setting the default backgroundColor while declaring the WindowedApplication settings;

      <mx:WindowedApplication xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"

          visible="false"     layout="absolute"     showStatusBar="false"     backgroundColor="0x000000"     applicationComplete="startup();">

      However, I can't figure out a way to animate the backgroundColor to a new value. I've tried using Tweener, but the WindowedApplication class doesn't expose the backgroundColor property, and I looked into AnimateProperty but that doesn't seem to work on WindowedApplication instances?

      Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.
