you need to tell us a bit about your system in order for us to hazard a guess.
Here's a try
- not enough memory for both Premiere Pro and AME
- not using latest version of Premiere Pro for whatever version you have (you said CS$, so am not assuming CS4)
After I edit my video, I go to export click on media and the program freezes. I am running vista but plan to buy windows 7 64 bit os. CS4 was working fine until I added MOVAVI to the same computer CS4 is on. Before that, I was convert it on another computers, then moving it to my edting computer via a flash drive. That works fine until the files get to be over 8 gig.
Also, I only have 4 gig of ram...I had 8 gig of ram but when I looked at the computer performance the report said the 32bit os was only seeing 3.9 gigs so I used the other ram in another computer.
It is less than a month for Win7 to come out, so for the time being, use a restore point to go to a previous state that was stable and start preparing for a complete install of Win7.
I'm not familiar with MOVAVI, but does it install any of its own CODEC's? Most good converters do not, but some do, and a few of those can cause problems.
As for the info, this ARTICLE might give you some clues what to provide - more is always better with regards to info for a forum, like this.
Last, there are some recent articles on .MOD files on this forum. I linked to some previous articles in at least one of them. You might want to do a Search for "MOD" on this forum, and maybe filter on People, using "the_wine_snob." Look at the 2-3 most recent articles.
Yup, you need a 64bit OS to see all of the memory. 8GB of RAM on a 32bit OS is like lipstick on a pig.
