    TimEm Level 1
      I have snippet in RH7 which when inserted in the topic looks fine I close the topic and re open it a a blank paragraph has been inserted after the snipet.

      Code for snipper below:

      <!doctype HTML public "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Frameset//EN">
      <html><head>
      <meta http-equiv=content-type content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
      <meta name=generator content="Adobe RoboHelp - www.adobe.com">
      <meta name=generator-major-version content=0.1>
      <meta name=generator-minor-version content=1>
      <meta name=filetype content=RoboHelp>
      <meta name=filetype-version content=1>
      <meta name=page-count content=1>
      <meta name=layout-height content=922>
      <meta name=layout-width content=1271>
      <title>Run SET</title>

      </head>
      <body>
      <p class=topic-text-numbered><a href="Run_SET.htm">Run SET</a><span style="x-condition: Print;">
      as described in the ‘Run SET’ section of this manual.</span></p>
      </body>
      </html>

      The snippet apperars in a numberd list.

          Snippets have to be paragraphs. See David Locke's article on Adobe's site.

            Hi thanks for your comment. I thought my snippet was a paragraph it is enclosed in a <p> tag. What confuses me is that when I first insert the snippet it looks fine in both the editor and preview see below.

            First Line
            Snippet
            Next line
            Next line

            After I save, close, and reload the topice it looks like this;

            First Line
            Snippet

            Next line
            Next line

                Hi all

                If you are displaying paragraph markers you will notice that inserting a snippet does indeed add an additional paragraph between the snippet and the following text. To my knowledge, it's only a frustrating thing and you may simply delete the offending or unwanted paragraph marker following the snippet. Personally, these aren't zombified on my PC. By that, I mean that they don't seem to spontaneously come back from the dead zone after closing and re-opening the topic.

                Cheers... Rick

                  Hi

                  Unfortuantely the paragraph reappears after saving and re-opening the opic. I have other snipets in the same project that work fine.

                    Have you tried deleting the snippet using the option not to delete references to it and then creating a new version. Backup the project first.

                      Hi

                      I have created a new project using the default style sheet. And created a similar snippet. the problem occurs every time.

                      When I place th snippet it puts 2 paragraph s after it I deleted them all looks fine. save and reopen the topic and one has returned. TEh snipper is being insert in a <ol>tag.

                      When it is displayed OK the HTML looks like this

                      <ol><li class=p><p>This is the first topic in your project. Delete this
                      text and replace it with your own. To add a new topic, click the <b>New
                      Topic </b>button on the tool bar.</p></li>
                      <li class=p><placeholder id="snippet_test"></li>
                      <li class=p><p>This is the first topic in your project. Delete this
                      text and replace it with your own. To add a new topic, click the <b>New
                      Topic </b>button on the tool bar.</p></li>

                      After saving and reopening it looks like this:

                      <ol><li class=p><p>This is the first topic in your project. Delete this
                      text and replace it with your own. To add a new topic, click the <b>New
                      Topic </b>button on the tool bar.</p></li>
                      <li class=p>
                      <placeholder id="snippet_test">
                      </li>
                      <li class=p><p>This is the first topic in your project. Delete this
                      text and replace it with your own. To add a new topic, click the <b>New
                      Topic </b>button on the tool bar.</p></li>

                      RH7 is adding

                      I just noticed it also does this as I swap between Design view and HTML view
