    Javascript and flash

      Hi all,

I'm currently building a site on a platform that does not allow javascript to be placed directly in the site, but does allow flash movies to be embedded. So I was wondering if there was any way of using flash to link to an external .js file and then execute a function once the flash movie has been loaded?

      Thanks in advance.

What you are looking to do is called "code injection" and is considered bad form, and bad practice - because it is a "hacker" technique.

Nonetheless, there are instances when it becomes necessary, and yours sounds like one of them.  To find out more, here is a two-part article discussing the theory, and the execution of this technique with flash.
