Comments have been made by some that they "only edit the DNG files", and never touch the original raw images. My question is, what is the big advantage in adopting this type of workflow?
You don't have an XMP sidecar for each raw file.
Okay, it probably wasn't a good idea to post the question in this forum. I use Lightroom rather than ACR, and I don't have to worry about XMP files even with my NEF files. If I wasn't using Lightroom, I would probably convert to DNG all the time. But the way my workflow goes right now, I really see no benefit to converting to DNG.
