I'm trying to connect my flex application with some webservices hosted on tomcat. The owner of the web services put their crossdomain.xml file off the root directory (ex: http://www.example.com/webservice/crossdomain.xml). I found the Security.loadPolicyFile() function that should let me access the xml file in the custom location, but my app uses the auto generated code from flex builder web service manager. I couldn't find any examples online of where to put loadPolicyFile in the nested objects that flex creates or if there was a way to set this in the root mxml file.
Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it didn't work.
The application makes the call to the correct WSDL, but before requesting the actual service it still looks for the crossdomain file in the server root before connecting to the webservice. So now there are two calls for the file but the app fails when it can't find the file in the server root.
