We are using both applications. However we install Adobe 9 Pro after the reader. This results in the Pro 9 opening as the default for pdf's, which we do not want. Is there a way to make the reader the default with a registy entry? Also will the registry entry stay the same so we don't have to change it very time there is an upgrade/new version?
We use Window XP Professional and Vista.
Any help on this would be appricated
It is not recommended nor supported to have both on your system. You are experiencing one of the many reasons why.
Also, if you have Acrobat, there is no reason to have Reader.
