Hello, I am a total newbie to digital photography. My mom bought me a Sony A200 last year, and Ive just started using the raw format because i was told it would help me edit them better. i have the adobe DNG converter installed, but i am having trouble changing the DNG file to a format i can email pics to the grandparents. I use Adobe PSE 5.0. What am i missing?
As you are probably aware, DNG files are raw files. After you have completed your editing, you can open them in Photoshop Elements and then use the "Save As" command to save them as JPEG images. In order to save them as JPEG images it will be necessary that they are in 8-bit mode and have no adjustment layers. I have never used Photoshop Elements and Camera Raw. I use Photoshop, and Camera Raw is different-more robust. But one of the options I have with my raw images is when they are opened in Camera Raw I can save them directly to different formats including JPEG. I don't know you have the option with Photoshop Elements or not.
Thank you so much! It works!!!
