This setting disables browser integration and the .pdf files will open in Reader instead the browser.
To enable integration change setting to 1.
Or when you install Reader use the following:
msiexec.exe /i AcroRead.msi /qn DISABLE_BROWSER_INTEGRATION=YES
I hope this can help you.
Thanks roz. I had to add "bBrowserIntegration". Setting the value to 1 does indeed enable IE integration, but setting it to 0 caused nothing to happen (the screen jumps a little bit like it is going to open a new window, then nothing. Control remains with the current window.) This is similar to the results of the other registry key changes I've tried. Any further suggestions?
did you try it with administrative privileges or normal user account? For me it works with admin account only.
And what happens when you change settings manually in Adobe Reader?
