Sorry, but Premiere Elements is not compatible with the AVCHD Lite video format.
However, if you've been able to get it to work, it could be that your system is able to support it.
To see if the audio is configured correctly, go to Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware in Premiere Elements and click on the ASIO settings.
Make sure that the ASIO settings match your particular hardware setup.
Here is a look at the various Adobe PrE Edit>Preferences>Audio Hardware screens, including the ASIO Settings.
These screens are from my laptop w/ on board Realtek audio. Still, my settings might give you some ideas:
Also, please tell us a bit about the Audio portion of your AV files. There might well be something there. The manual should give you the full details, but if it does not, then use G-Spot to get all of the info. Some Audio schemes behave differently, than others.
Ah! I went to the Project portion of the app and found the Audio settings. I switched it to Creative and I get audio in the editor, but the video is HORRIBLE.
However, the organizer is still silent.
So, my choices appear to be:
1) Organizer - GREAT video, no audio
2) Editor - AWFUL video, audio.
Why does this need to be so difficult. Aren't we on Version 8?
Are you using V7?
No. My Preferences Screen is from PrE 4. Looks like PrE 7 changed things greatly. Sorry about that.
And, as I said in the very first post, the program does not support AVCHD Lite -- so challenges like this are likely.
