Why doesn't DE activate properly?

Hi!

I've been trying to install Digital Editions 1.7.1 folr my laptop with Vista. Every time I get to launching the program for the first time I get the following error message E_ADEPT_IO ActivationServiceInfo Error%20#2032. Try Again button does not help and canceling closes the whole program. How can I get the program working? Thanks in advance for any hints.

I have already tried manual installation and I've read the forum posts from 2008 and 2007 about this issue, but to no avail. Please help!

Hmm.. I just finished installing the program on a MacBook in my office. Everything went fine. I did it over the same wireless network as with the laptop with Vista. Well, until someone gives a better answer, I'll just try to do something.
