Any Idea how to create multiple pages in Dreamweaver?

    popeye80
Is there any way to create multiple pages in Dreamweaver from a list? something like Mail Merge in word, let say I have a template that all the content are the same accept the city and state is there any way to create multiple page and tell the Dreamweaver to go and pick the city and state for each page from a file?

I think your question has not been really clear and very vague and confusing. If you please rephrase the question as in simple one.

As for telling Dreamweaver what to do, you have to understand how Dreamweaver works. You also need to know HTML firsthand in order to make it work.

As for Word document (then saved it as html format), be kindly advised that it is way bloated html source.

There is no such a thing like Mail Merge in Dreamweaver just like what Word do. But it is done rather differently. It is what is called data-driven website. To work with data-driven site, you need to know how HTML works in its entirety.

I don't know what kind of project you are talking about and what you'd like to do with the information associated with "Mail Merge" feature.

Tell us what you'd like to do with information relating to 'mail merge' feature.

mail merge was just an idea, what i ment is if i have site that include page for each city in each state, and the rest of the contnet for each city is the same, is there any way to create multi pages with dreamweaver but the name of the city and state will be diffrent in each page and the content will be the same, lets say i want california so i create template for CA, and on the city i marked it as a field ( or something like that) and then i point it to get the list of fields from a file, and then it will create all the pages insted do each page manually.

You'd generally do this with a database, much as you see catalog sites.
Where you see a URI like:

              http://www.example.com/showproduct.monkeybutt?itemid=3327

It's using a single page (showproduct.monkeybutt, where monkeybutt is one
of php, asp, aspx, cf[ml], cgi, ...) which gets its information from a
database, and uses itemid to do a search on the database.

This does not create discrete pages; it uses a single page, and creates
the individual 'pages' on the fly.

                Say Joe,

Looks like a bad link. An error message 404, just so you know. You wanna to take a look at it. Thanks for the heads up and I'll come back and look at that later sometime today. Thanks for heads up, Joe.

                    From http://www.example.com/:

You have reached this web page by typing "example.com",
"example.net", or "example.org" into your web browser.

These domain names are reserved for use in documentation and are
not available for registration. See RFC 2606, Section 3.

                    which refers you to http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2606.txt

Just For The Record, you can convince a server to think any extension
(in this case, .monkeybutt) is any other extension. Somewhere I have a
server which thinks that .monkeybutt files are .html.
