Is there a template somewhere to create a simple password signup form?
I am using DW CS3. There is a supplied behavior for User Authentication.
In the Server Behaviors panel (Window > Server Behaviors), click the Plus (+) button and select User Authentication > Log In User from the pop‑up menu.
There is some pretty good documentation in dreamweaver help concerning this behavior.
Awesome. I'll go there now and check it out. Mine is CS3 too.
Ask your server host if they can set up a password protected section in your1 person found this helpful
If your hosting comes with an admin panel, you may be able to set up
password protected pages from there.
If you need something for a membership site, where every user registers with
his/her own username and password, you will need a server-side script and a
database or text file to store the names in. Which script depends on which
languages your server supports.

Where do I get this, and how?

Do you have a web host?
Reading the mentioned documenatation pretty much spells out how to do it with behaviors. You will certainly learn more as you add user authentication. It tells you how to do it for different environments that CS3 supports. Once you know that then it will be easier for you to understand what you want.1 person found this helpful
