M.Jay.Victor Oct 9, 2009 12:15 PM (in response to maf79)Its your text wrap settings. When one object overlaps another, you can open your text wrap panel to adjust how the text reacts.

maf79 Oct 9, 2009 12:18 PM (in response to maf79)I checked that...no text wrap. I copied the text boxes from non-master pages onto master pages. I'm wondering if it has to do with lining it up with the master grid, but that's another thing that I'm not too familiar with so I'm not sure.
But it does almost seem like there's something with text wrap...but there's not.

maf79 Oct 9, 2009 12:21 PM (in response to maf79)I've been working in inDesign for years...just taken the long steps to do things so paragraph styles is the only thing I've done differently in this document. That's why I think it's related.

BobLevine Oct 9, 2009 12:53 PM (in response to maf79)Sounds like it's aligned to a baseline grid.

maf79 Oct 9, 2009 12:55 PM (in response to BobLevine)Is there any way to extend the grid to the edge of the pages?
(that was it...it worked...thank you). -

Sure, set it to start at zero whatevers from the top of the page. You have to define the right grid for your particular layout and type in preferences. The default grid is almost certainly not useful.
