OK, so I just spent all weekend Working & Rendering the Timeline of an XDCam EX, 1920x1080, GreenScreen edit to come into work and find that PP CS4 does not see it as Rendered!
All of the Pre-Render files are in the folder but Premiere does not link to them. WTF?
I just played the entire Rendered Timeline at home... only to come in to work, set up my system and find that NONE of it is Rendered!
The entire Timeline is showing as RED/Needing to be Rendered.
(I am working from a Laptop w/2 external eSATA drives)
Normally this wouldn't bother me but Preview & Deliver is today!!!
-I've got 15 minutes to Render a Timeline that says 11 hours to Render.
How can I relink Render Files?
How can I prevent Render Files from going offline if my workflow is a Laptop & eXternal HD's?
I don't know of any way to "relink" rendered files. But in most cases, rendering isn't necessary. Just export.
It may still take than 11 hours, though. But once it's exported, it's done.
I'm having this same problem. 90 minute project, DVCPRO HD 1080.
I rendered it once, took all night, then was able to export to mpeg2 for a dvd pretty quick. Few days later I went to export to another file format, but the renders were gone- back to red!
