    Access Flex from Javascript

      I want to call a method in my Flex Application from Javascript. Therefor, i have to so select the Flex Application. I found this piece of code on http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=passingarguments_5.html :

      function getMyApp(appName) {
              if (navigator.appName.indexOf ("Microsoft") !=-1) {
                  return window[appName];
              } else {
                  return document[appName];

      However, it seems to work fine within Firefox and Opera, but Microsoft IE does not work.

      If i do an "alert(getMyApp(<appName>));" FF and Opera give me a message stating "[object HTMLEmbedElement]", but IE just gives "undefined".

      Can anybody help me with this?
