I was unable to update Adobe Reader 9.1 to 9.1.3 and now that 9.2 is out, I can't update to that either. I'm running OS X 10.6.1. I'm standing by for a fix .....
I have a problem with version 9.2.0 running on Snow Leopard. Every time I try to run Reader it asks for my password, and after entering it just hangs saying "Installing/fixing installation". Every time I end up using Force Quit. Removing from the applications folder and re-installing makes no difference. Any clues?
Try deleting /private/var/db/receipts/Adobe Reader 9.bom and /private/var/db/receipts/Adobe Reader 9.plist. This should help.
i have the same error as stated earlier and i tried these steps but didnt work; even after delete these files, i remove adobe reader from applications and re-install it but again got the same error. Asks for admin password and then quits.
Any other suggestions. This thing happened on 2 different machines now. I have Alu macbook with snow leopard 10.6.1 as well as iMac with 10.6.1
