    Remote Object

    wkolcz Level 1
      If I want to move a RemoteObject to an external AS file, should I delare it in the constructor so it is create when invoked? Also, after declaring the destintation, the source, and the fault and result handlers, how do I create the methods that will used by the application?

      I have found examples on how to create one in AS, but don't see the methods or how to use one. Where can I find and example of a complete one (including methods)? Thanks!

          If I were to have something like:

          var projectGateway:RemoteObject=new RemoteObject(”ColdFusion”);
          projectGateway.source=”com.projectmanager.projectGateway”;
          projectGateway.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT,resultHandler);
          projectGateway.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT,faultHandler);

          private function faultHandler(e:FaultEvent):void {

          Alert.show(e.result.message);

          }

          private function resultHandler(e:ResultEvent):void {

          Alert.show(e.fault.message.toString());

          }

          And had a method in my CFC called list, how would I call it? Just use projectGateway.list() in my application?

          Do I have to have the complete RemoteObject created for each internal function in my cfc or can I just have it create in my Class Constructor and then have functions to invoke each method?

          Sorry I am really ignorant on creating and using a RemoteObject in AS, but I am determined to learn.
