2. Re: How do I create an animated gif?
talbot Oct 19, 2009 12:22 AM (in response to Mylenium)Sorry, I was just heading off to sleepville.
It's different in my version CS4. I load files as stack then Window -> Animated
Opens a frame at the bottom with 2 tabs: timeline and measurement log.
Looked around all the menus and do not see layers to frames in anywhere.
I also have after effects CS4 and was able to make one but couldn't find an export or create as animated gif...
Thanks for helping and I'll catch you on the sun side...

3. Re: How do I create an animated gif?
Mylenium Oct 19, 2009 12:36 AM (in response to talbot)Please look again. This refers to CS4 and a flyout menu is the option menu in the top right corner of a panel.

5. Re: How do I create an animated gif?
talbot Oct 19, 2009 9:23 AM (in response to Mylenium)Oh, Ok, but I do not see a layers to frames option. I see 1 tab Default and the closest was Frame Channe or Wood Channel but nothing in there says layers to frames. Sorry but I just don't see it...

6. Re: How do I create an animated gif?
Curt Y Oct 19, 2009 9:38 AM (in response to talbot)With the animation window open in the upper right corner click the menu arrow. Has New Frame, Delete Frame, - - - - - , Make Frame from Layers, - - - ,
At least this is the way it is in CS3. Probably same or very similar in CS4.

8. Re: How do I create an animated gif?
Curt Y Oct 19, 2009 10:04 AM (in response to talbot)Think we are talking about different screens.
Go to Window and put check mark on animation. A long short window opens that is titled Animation [Frames}. Click on the menu for this box in upper right corner.

talbot Oct 19, 2009 11:44 AM (in response to Curt Y)I feel really stupid but I don't see it. I clicked Animation from Window menu and on the upper right I see Actions pshelp.jpg then expand that menu and see pshelp2.jpg.

10. Re: How do I create an animated gif?
Curt Y Oct 19, 2009 11:56 AM (in response to talbot)I don't have the same version you do, but if you use the header where it says animation (timeline) measurement log and go to far right on this same line, click on the down arrow do you come up with the menu with "make frames from layers"?

13. Re: How do I create an animated gif?
talbot Oct 19, 2009 5:26 PM (in response to Curt Y)Yes! I found a Youtube tutorial and saw that he was down there in the timeline window which has a button to switch to frames and Tween... So I am good now and thank-you for all your time with this.
