I have installed Premier Pro CS4 onto a suite of apple macs running os x 10.5.6. When locally running the software it starts and loads properly, however in a managed dock environment with users logging on via the domain Premier will launch but is taking hours to get past the first splash screen thats loading the plugs and preferences etc.
Only use Premiere locally. Don't use a network.
That isnt really an option though, we have a network 2000 users, 1000 computers, are we meant to just ditch this for the sake of using premier pro?
All I can tell you is that plenty of folks have come here in the same situation. I just don't know of any other solution than to only use Prmeiere locally. Media and assets are OK to store on netowrked drives (though performance may suffer). But the program and all support files should be local only using the standard installation.
