    Base64 encode ASCII w/ Flex

    Brent Lamborn Level 2

How can I properly Base64 encode all ASCII characters with Flex? Base64Encoder doesn't work. It encodes most characters but not all of them. For example try to Base64 encode the word "sautè" using Base64Encoder. It can't encode the latin small letter e with grave. It encodes it as a ? mark.

Does anyone know if there is a third party class that will do it for me or another class/method that will do this?

What is even more odd is that this used to work for me but now it doesn't. I haven't changed the version of Flex I am using at all. Would a Flash player update affect this? I'm not sure how that works, but considering I am using the same version of Flex I don't know what else could have changed.

      Thanks,

      Brent
