Is it possible to use Flash as an interactive onscreen Kiosk solution?

I need to create a interactive touch screen kiosk style solution for a retail store and am looking at 5K for the software to do it!! Will flash be able to do the job on a single device basis?

The answer depends on the complexity of the project.

Yes - Flash can export an executable file that can run on a single device fullscreen.

Yes - Flash can work with touch-screens (treats the screen touch as a mouse click I believe)

If you need local file access (save/load) then you will want to publish to the AIR runtime (a setting in Flash)

If you need some low-level OS access, you may need something separate to get it (IE - USB device access outside of keyboard and mouse) || This is something that is supposed to be in AIR 2.0, but that hasn't been released yet.
