I've created a Chm file using Robohelp HTML version 8. I have distributed this help file successfully to several users. But I have one user that gets the following message when opening the Chm file:
"Please wait while windows configures the Dell Resource CD"
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
While it's not specific to launching CHM files, we have seen different reports off and on of different applications that cause the messages your user is seeing to appear. If memory serves, I believe it's related to a failed installation of an arbitrary product. Either that or a shared component has been inadvertently removed.
You might try using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and see if that corrects anything.
