It seems like the conversion of characters, that are not allowed in a string, is not working correctly.
You can test it with the following code:
var myXML:XML = <doc/>;
myXML.@test = "<>";
The > is not converted to >. How can I fix this problem? Is it a bug?
Yes, it does seem odd.
myXML.@test = escape("<>");
[Actually, my response is not what you asked for, since it gets the html escape codes not the alternative representation - had HTML escape on the brain]
Thank you. That's a good workaround. I hope that the problem will be fixed. Maybe I look into the source code to create a fix for the team if I got some spare time.
