Only in a batch process.
Yes but this still require user intervention. I am looking more for a "hands free" solution.
"User intervention"? Only when you set it up. Afterwards it applies the same

Do you mean some sort of hot folder, or something like that? Maybe Adobe has
some server product that can do that, but those are usually very (very)
I find this very odd that Adobe has left this out of the dictionary...
I mean I can create "hot folders" for cropping PDF, merging PDFs, separating PDF into single pages, etc. but I cannot optimize PDF in a similar way...
even the "Save as" function has left this out, only thing you can do is set the Fast Web Preview option...

How can you create hot folders for all of these functions?
Using Watched Folder and Applescript

My problem here is that "PDF Optimization" does not appear to be part of any of those "solutions"...
What type of "Optimization" are you trying to accomplish?
Ty Ty Ty,
I never thought of looking there...
You can create or import custom Preflight profile, however there is no way to automate that task. You could create the profile to your desire on one machine, export it, and then simply have your users import that profile - it only needs to be done once, but unfortunately it cannot be automated.
