in AI you are you able to turn off layers? Did this have to done prior to send to me, from CADD? I was told it could not be done that way.
o I went back to the drawing-found the layers command -I am not very proficient in AI- as I always worked (in my past life) in Corel Draw which is sort of a combo of InD and PS and AI-works differently- So I got some layers off but I had to move text block and try to delete over draws individually. There probably is a better way but I don't know how as yet- Looks like it is on the right track tho. Thank you very much
Could not open the file you sent me back . Got a message that PS could not "parse" the file. Do not know what that meant.
You couldn't open the file in AI? It should be opened there and resaved, then you can open it in PS.
Ok this was a oversight by the person send ing you or preparing the file. What they did was to include all the sheets which are usuallly save with the CAD files so they can go back to older version and often mix revision with new specs.
not only will it be flatten it will also not have anything but the current info.
The CAD operators hate to do this and wil do almost anything not to do it even though it is easy for them to do.
Have them Dumb it Down
