I'm bamboozled. I created a flash menu - 700 X 31px - to replace an old static jpg menu. When I replaced the jpg with the swf, the file played perfectly... but an approximately 7px deadspace appeared beneath the menu. Putting the old jpg menu back closed the gap back up again.
I removed the alternate display stuff ("You are using an old version of Flash - upgrade here" + download bug) from the code, figuring that might be the reason, but the gap remains.
Any ideas?... please?
Check whether the width and height of the swf and the placed area be same one.
Sadly, yes - the flash menu is patterned off the same photoshop file as the static JPG - exact same dimensions, Appears exactly the same, except for that 7pixel empty droop beneath it. It's almost as if I had a <br>. in the code... except there isn't. There doesn't seem to be any reason for that empty space beneath the menu. Bleah...
