JSS1138 Oct 30, 2009 9:41 AM (in response to jdmoor)Always use settings that match your footage. The Sony model will be less important than the video specs matching.

3. Re: Sony HVR-HD100u with CS4 capture?
jdmoor Oct 30, 2009 9:46 AM (in response to jdmoor)Thanks Jim for the reply.
I've think I've got it figured out ... I have to use the Sony device and the Alternative 2 setup.
I did learn a couple of things during this research/investigation ..
1. Apparently 'Scene Detect' does not work with HD
2. My Nvidia Quadro FX 570 doesn't display my footage in the capture window while capturing .. it does during a simple playback, but as soon has I click on the little red capture button, the capture window does to a multi language text screen that says my video is being played on video hardware???
Oh well, live and learn ... hopefully

4. Re: Sony HVR-HD100u with CS4 capture?
JSS1138 Oct 30, 2009 9:49 AM (in response to jdmoor)Item 2 applies to all users. It's a Premiere thing, not a graphics card thing.

5. Re: Sony HVR-HD100u with CS4 capture?
Harm Millaard Oct 30, 2009 10:12 AM (in response to JSS1138)Item 1 is not possible either, but the PPBM is still waiting for your results.
Both item 1 and 2 are spelled out on the Adobe site. Not possible.
