Hello out there,
I was tasked to add kind of an "auto-run demo mode" to an existing AS3 application - like have a mouse cursor move, have it click on a button, and the like.
So what I need is
- produce a sensible mouse cursor,
- let it move over the screen to a target, and
- invoke the target's action.
Given what is possible with Flex Builder this doesn't sound impossible. Only thing is: The Flex environment is rather new to me and still a bit overwhelming.
Any link on where to start looking will be greatly appreciated.
If you're willing to do without the visible cursor, take a look at the FlexMonkey testing framework. It's intended for testing, rather than demos, but you could certainly use it for an auto-run demo, and it's generally pretty slick.
many thanks. I wanted to respond on the forum but am unable to login (bad
connection: server times out) - I'l re-try tomorrow.
