    unable to connect to comments server

      A reviewer has a problem with the Adobe 8 Reader failing to connect to the Adobe commenting server (on a network share).

       

      He can open and display documents on that filesystem, so there's no fundamental connectivity problem. Reader opens the doc, brings up the review Window, then immediately gives a popup saying "Reader could not connect to the comment server".

       

      He's using Reader 8.1.4.

      He's completely uninstalled and reinstalled Reader without it making any difference.

      He's running XP SP3.

       

      He recently had to rebuild his OS. Before the rebuild, he didn't have this problem.

       

      Hints anyone?
