    Pixelized Outline

I am creating business cards with the below logo:

The business cards are black and the outline of my logo is gray.  The site allows me to use an ai file but when I upload it to the site the gray outline looks very jagged and pixelated on the black background.  Is there a way to smooth this out?  Is there a best practice way of saving to optimize for print?  Thank you in advance for your help!

Check your overprint and transparency flattening settings. Solid color backgrounds will notably "creep" into the foreground elements, if these settings are not right. Also make sure, your colors meet the density and gamut requirements specified by the printer. It may be necessary to create the grey from a color mix instead of just black, assuming you are using a standard 4 color process. You could of course use spot colors all the way, if there is realyl just those two colors....

            Jamie,

Are you sure the white parts print? On a black card, an opaque white ink is needed, as a (third) separate colour.
