    Grid performance

      The app I am building requires a table of about 10x8. This is not a small table, but I wouldn't call it an excessivley large table.

      My computer is a laptop but its not that slow. I have never had any performance issues with it.

      Exceuting the following code to build my grid programatically takes aprox 6 seconds

      for(var i:int=0;i<10;i++)
                  {
                      var row:GridRow=new GridRow();

                      for(var j:int=0;j<8;j++)
                      {
                          var item:GridItem=new GridItem();
                          var text:TextArea=new TextArea();
                          text.widthInChars=10;
                          text.heightInLines=1;
                          item.addElement(text);
                          row.addElement(item);
                      }
                      addElement(row);
                  }

      Doing anything with this component, like moving it to another place etc is also fairly slugish. Is this expected behaviour? Are spreadsheets beyond the scope of flex?
