Thanx Jeff... But i found this article and the others about the subject ...(http://forums.adobe.com/message/2294261)
but I'm on a MAC ... that's not the same at all concerning the shortcut solution ...
There's no trouble with the whole CS4 production premium on snow leopard so ...I would like a real solution from adobe !
Try trashing the prefs? This is my standard 'catch-all' but a lot of times, clearing the AME prefs will make this problem go away.
user>documents>Adobe>Adobe Media Encoder>4.0. Take the 4.0 folder and drag it to the desktop. Restart AME and it will recreate the prefs files (the 4.0 folder).
Give it a try.
Sorry dradeke ... but it gave me exactly the same error
Buying The cs4 production premium suite, it's for me as painful as cutting myself one of my arm ... and i was expecting a little more reactivity from Adobe !
I render it with AE with no trouble that's a great renderer !
Nemrod, have you tried uninstalling, running the CS4 cleanscript and then reinstalling?
I am also looking into one other thing.
Another thing you can try is to dig a bit deeper into the prefs files. THe one I mentioned previously is the most common but on Mac there are .plist files that are also preferences for specific components. Try this
User>Library>Preferences> In here, there should be a file called "com.Adobe.AdobeMediaEncoder.4.0.plist"
Take that out and restart the application.
Ok ... well
Uninstalling and reinstalling with the cleanscript WORKS ! But why ?
(a chance that i keep my preset, keyboard shortcuts, etc... on a external harddrive)
ah ... thank you
