I have two projects in my Flash Builder Package explorer that are closed. When I try to open either of them the system works for about 5 seconds and then the window application says not responding. And it will stay in a not responding state for at least 10 minutes, as I did a force quite after that 10 mins.
I tried to look through the logs in .metadata but did not find anything pertaining to the crash.
I created a new project and closed it and opened it and everything was fine. Obviously there is something wrong with the two closed projects I have, but I can't figure out what. Can anyone help?
I was able to get "fix" the problem by just creating a new project from my SVN repo, but I would still like to know a solution to the original problem.
if you turn off "build automatically," does that help??
That did fix the problem. Thank you!
However, I believe that this should still be considered a bug.
could be. could be. there is definitely a bug in there somewhere, but it's going to be 10x more difficult to debug if you can't even open the project. this should give you a chance to get in there and make some changes, then see if the compiler continues to choke and hone in on the problem. if you can narrow it down, submitting a bug report would help everyone.
oh, and i do agree that, ideally, FB should never crash .
