Starting "Flash CS3 Video Encoder" on Win7 (64)
Error: "A required system library did not initialize properly. Please ensure you have DirectShow9 and QuickTime7 or higher installed on your system."
I can handle downloading QuickTime. But not DirectShow9 - a bit vague and scary.
Surely I do not need to download 4.5GB Windows SDK for that. ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd375454(VS.85).aspx )
This issue sorted itself out. Somehow, Win7 installed something by itself, and Flash Video Encoder works just as well as it did on my old XP-machine. I did not do anything, except giving up. So, the most successful method to solve the issue is to give up. Thanks.
