Try the software that comes with the x-rite ColorChecker Passport and see if it works any better. It performs the same function as the DNG Profile Editor:
You will need to "register" with x-rite and login.
Alternatively, you can upload your CC G1 RAW and I'll try it in the DNG Profile Editor and/or the x-rite software.
I don't know what the abbreviation PE stands for, but if you are using ACR or Lightroom, you may have not set up the DNG Profile Editor to work with your version of RAW converter. For example I have DNG Profile Editor set up for compatibility with ACR 4.6 since I still use CS3.
DNG PE=DNG Profile Editor, the product from labs.adobe.com that creates custom camera profiles using RAW photos of a ColorChecker.
To get the Lumix G1 RW1 files to work with the DNG Profile Editor and the ColorChecker Passport you must set the compatibility for the DNG Conversion to "ACR 4.6 and Newer" not the default of "ACR 5.4 and Newer" or at least it works with the CC PP this way.
No go -- same error. If this was the issue then I would imagine that my other cameras would exhibit the same error. The Lumix G1 using RW2 (vice RW1) format but that should not matter as LR converted to DNG..............
Does anybody know if they are going to release an update to the PE -- the beta version is getting long in the tooth
What is RW2 compared to RW1? Can you post your original RAW file on www.rapidshare.com ?
