    Disable Preview mode in CS2

    Peter Bossens Level 1

How can I desactivate the preview mode (shortcut W) in InDesign CS2 using Applescript (or Javascript)?

In CS3 & CS4 the command is "set view display setting to typical", but this does not work in CS2.

      Thanks,

      Peter Bossens

          hi Peter,

if you are talking about DisplayPerformancePreference:

          Class DisplayPerformancePreference
              Member of InDesign
              Application's default display performance settings

then nothing was changed - CS2 work the same way like CS3 and CS4

but if you are talking about EnableRedraw

          Property EnableRedraw As Boolean
              Member of InDesign.ScriptPreference
If true, enables redraw during script execution

then it was introduced in CS3

            Robert,

Sorry I was not quite clear. I mean the view that shows the page like it will be printed, without frame edges, bleed, ....

The command for desactivating the Preview mode in CS3/CS4 is:

Set the screen mode to preview off

But I can't find the equivalent for this command in CS2, although the Preview mode exists in the user interface.

            Thanks

            Peter
