Hi All,
Apologies if this question has been asked before, I had a quick scan through a search and didn't find what I was looking for.
We are looking at creating a searchable, context sensitive help system to support a web app that we are developing (my developers have told me that it is deployed on a Tomcat server - this means nothing to me so apologies if I've got it around my neck!). If we were to purchase RoboHelp 8 to author this help system, would it be possible for the help to be searchable or would we need RoboHelp Server as well? (If we don't need Server for this, what benefit does Server bring to the table?)

Hi MattDufty and welcome to the RH community.
All help files regrardless of where they are hosted or what they are produced with can have a search facility so you definitely don't need RH Server for that. What RH server does add is a search facility with ranking of results and additional reporting / statistics aimed at plugging documentation gaps found by users.
There are a number of articles on my blog about the use of RH Server. Probably the one to start at is this one.
