    Naming the swap image - Can't find it in the tag inspector.

    tomwood2
      Hello,

      I followed an online description of how to do swap images (mouse rollover) for a hyperlink. The article said that swap images work best if the images are "named" which is a different attribute than the image file name. I was able to name the first image, but I never got a window that lets me name the swap image. The rollover effect is working fine, but I want to follow best practices if the swap image should also be named.

      Where do I get the menu to name the swap image?

      Thanks,

      Tom

          Forgot to mention, I'm working in Dreamweaver 8.

            Select an image. Look at the Property Inspector. There is a field called
            "Name". Use it. Or just add the "name" attribute manually -

            <img name="goober"....

              That's the trouble, I can't figure out how to 'select' the image that is the second image. Here's the code after applying the swap image behavior:

              <img src="images/smile120x90.png" name="smile" id="smile" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('smile','','images/kiss120x90.png',1)" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" />

              I'm swapping in a kiss when the mouse hovers over a smile. After Insert>Image and inserting the first image, images/smile120x90.png, I can select it and name it 'smile'. But placing the cursor over images/kiss120x90.png inside that behavior code doesn't select that image.

              Thanks,

              Tom

                You only have to name the trigger image. Select the trigger, apply the
                behavior, browse to and select the incoming image (by filename!), and click
                OK.

                  Okay, thanks! I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something.
