power-point 2007 has lot of image transitions and even motion paths, but captivate 4 only seems to have 4- fade in/out/ none.
Is there a way to get more image transitions and motion paths
- would a widget do it ?
- or do you do them as SWF and then import ?
- I don't think CAPTIVATE scripts seem the say to go ?
- or do you do a full motion recording of the image ?
- or do you do them in power-point 2007 and then import ?
Do all powerpoint image transitions get imported correctly to captivate 4 ?
regards and thanks Ninjacat
Indeed you are limited to only the fades Captivate offers. You can move an image by being somewhat creative with the Zoom Area, but that's about it.
You should consider requesting new features. Link is in my sig.
If you like the way a PowerPoint plays back, you could coax it into a window, then play the presentation and record it with Captivate. While I wouldn't exactly record it all using Full Motion capture, I would recommend any special transitions be recorded as small Full Motion segments. You can do this using F9 to start Full Motion capture and F10 to stop it.
Hopefully this helps a smidge... Rick

A widget would be insanely complicated and you would also have to keep your images as external resources that will have to be loaded in on each slide since a Widget can't access the Captivate library at run-time.
The easiest and quickest way is to create these transitions in Flash and then just import them into Captivate.
