at this time there is only the ActionScript reference material:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/beta/reference/actionscript/3/frames.html?http:/ /help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/beta/reference/actionscript/3/index.html&http://help.a dobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/beta/reference/actionscript/3/all-classes.html
classes to look at which contain material relevant to groups:
GroupSpecifier (creates the groupspecs needed to join groups)
NetGroup (joins/controls groups for all functions except multicast)
NetStream (joins groups for multicast, see NetStream constructor)
NetStatusEvent (many new event codes defined for group stuff)
if you are connected to Stratus and specify GroupSpecifier.serverChannelEnabled = true, Stratus will automatically bootstrap your group for you (connecting new joiners to the existing connected group). otherwise you will have to manually bootstrap your groups by tracking members and either adding a member's peerID to the groupspec (GroupSpecifier.addBootstrapPeer()) or with NetGroup.addNeighbor() or NetGroup.addMemberHint(). i'd recommend using automatic bootstrapping since that's easy and magic.
we will try to post some sample code (perhaps my lab materials from MAX) soon.
THANK you very much:)
thank you , mike
I take a look for API of NetGroup , but not clearly yet .
It has neighbors , group address of member , ..
It's not a simple hub'n spoke mode , but like a DHT mesh ？
any particular introduction ?
RTMFP groups are more like DHT meshes than hub-and-spoke. the best introductory material is Matthew Kaufman's session from MAX 2009, which is up on Adobe TV:
i posted some slightly modified versions of my MAX2009 lab materials in a different thread. see
for my lab presentation, handout, and accompanying .mxml files.
