images won't pixelate unless they're being resized from their native resolution. if you're resizing to need to use smoothing to prevent pixelation.
exactly how you do that depends on how your images are added to flash and possibly on your actionscript version.
my first reaction is smugmug.com
do you have a link to one of these galleries to see what you mean?
I just wrote an imge resizer/uploader in AS3, so this stuff is kind of fascinating to me at the moment.
yeah, here is a link with the images
the ones of them up close just look kinda jaggedy looking like #44 & #69, and the ones farther away look nothing like them (#86 and#96) . We want them to see crisp and clear images to order from.
I would suggest trying a different technology.
I just ran a gallery out of Bridge, and one out of Lightroom, and the Lightroom version is quite a bit better quality-wise.
I'll try to get the demos of each up.
Take a look at Smugmug.com, it's what I use and allows for giant previews...
Here's a comparison:
You can see the Lightroom gallery is quite a bit better.
Free trial from Adobe....
Wow Ted! You are right! Lightroom is MUCH better than just going out of Bridge. I am uploading the free trial and we will use this option until we decide what to do. We also checked out sumgmug.com and think that could be a good alternative, either way though we are going to have to fork out some cash Just wish that we could figure out how to make Bridge look good.
Thanks so much for your time and help! Glad that other people are willing to share their knowledge!
